Jackson Lake Lodge – Breakfast Cruise – Grand Teton National Park

Jackson Lake Lodge is located in Grand Teton National Park. A full-service hotel with incredible views and activities for the whole family. Our favorite experience was the Jackson Lake Scenic Breakfast Cruise. The boat departs at 7:15 a.m. from Colter Bay Marina so it’s the perfect opportunity to capture some sunrise photos!

The cruise takes you out on Jackson Lake to Elk Island surrounding by breathtaking views of the Tetons. As the boat docks, you can smell the coffee brewing and the pancakes cooking.

You are greeted by a fun and friendly staff. The food is ready right when you arrive. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, trout, potatoes, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, and yogurt. And you can go for seconds! They don’t miss a beat, everything you need is at the tables. Once you finish eating, you can explore the island.

Then back on the boat for a relaxing ride to the marina.

We highly recommend taking the breakfast cruise! Honestly, I wondered if they would be able to pull off good food on the island and it exceeded my expectations. It was a treat eating breakfast outside surrounded by such grand views! Jackson Lake Lodge is a class act and this was a fun, unique experience.

  1. OH my! What beautiful photos of a wonderful trip. I love Jackson Lake Lodge and all that surrounds it. We are so very lucky, are we not for having this in our world? Lovely post – thanks!

  2. Thank you for this review!
We are all ready to do the trip this summer (2021) that we had to cancel last summer due to quarantine – and one of the things we had planned was THIS cruise! I will look through the rest of your blog for ideas but if you have anything that sticks in your mind as really wonderful to do in terms of tours/activities, I’d love to hear it. We’ve got a 12 year old so looking at the safari stuff and rafting…. I suspect there’s some great hidden tour we haven’t heard about! Thanks again!

    1. You will love it! We haven’t been rafting but that’s on our bucket list too. We love all the hiking trails. Check out String Lake – that is one of our favorite spots to hike and picnic. Enjoy your trip!! We can’t wait to get back there!
